Frans “Pacho” Weber
Departing from his interest in the reuse of materials, Frans “Pacho” started using oil drum lids as a canvas for his paintings. These works were very characteristic of Curaçao, where millions of oil drums were used and disposed of at the refinery on the island. In 1996 the artist held his first exhibition which earned him local recognition and praise. To many he is known for his stand in Punda, where he painted portraits of Curaçao’s people.
Gallery Alma Blou is happy to present Frans “Pacho” Weeber and his vibrant works.
