Ria Houwen (1947) was born in Horst, The Netherlands, and arrived on Curaçao in 1972. Working as a high school art teacher has never hindered her career in painting. Her first exhibit was held in 1975 and she has fascinated us with her stunning abstract images ever since. Her work is prominently displayed in several buildings and hotels on the island.
