Gallery Alma Blou presents an exhibition of transformed shoes by Reyna Joe. ‘Walk Like a Woman’ is a pre-conference event of the Annual Female Leadership Conference in Curaçao which is celebrating its 16th edition this year. This exhibition is also a fundraising event to support educational aspirations of both female and male students.
The idea and vision behind this collection is that each pair of shoes tell its own story. Every woman, whatever her path, has a pair of shoes revealing where she is at that moment in life. Shoes are not only part of every women’s basic attire, but also connects her to the ground she walks on. In presenting the exhibition during this Conference, Reyna makes a statement by telling every woman that they are entitled to stand up for themselves.
This exhibition opens on Friday May 24, 2019 at 7 to 9 PM at Gallery Alma Blou and is free for anyone interested in the stories bold by a woman’s shoes.
